Pavlovich Manor
This Saturday, I went to the Pavlovich mansion, the first urbex address we found, and a mansion where I had dreamed of going for a long time.
It is located in a small town not far from Paris.
We inquired about the place before coming but as we passed the house we realized that it was not going to be easy to get into the place.
To begin, the mansion is on a large lot surrounded by houses, not abandoned of course, so not very easy to be discreet.
We find a sign near the house saying "Neighbors vigilant, if I do not alert the police, my neighbor will do it." So not very reassuring.
The walls of the manor are covered with barbed wire, and the gate is far too high to climb.
The only option available to us is to climb the only wall that is not covered with barbed wire that is on the side of the gate but the neighbors on the right are likely to see us from their garden. Then, the wall is still very high to climb, you must be in shape, I tell you.
We hesitated and thought for over an hour before we decided to go.
In the meantime, we met other explorers, very nice, they had just visited the manor, and they explained to us that behind the wall we were planning to climb there is a tree trunk that would dampen our fall.
But as we finally go to the mansion, decide to climb the wall, we notice that a car had parked just in front of the house.
We had to turn around, the car not being decided to leave.
We made the decision to do another spot in the meantime, so as not to lose our day if we could not get into the mansion. So we took the car back to see Albert Dyer castle, we knew he had been sentenced, so there was not much to see.
We took some pictures of the castle outside, could not visit the interior, then we took the car to Pavlovich Manor, hoping that the car would be gone since time.
Unfortunately she was still there when we arrived, but the owner was not in, so we took the opportunity to venture into the manor garden.
Once the wall climbed, we find ourselves in front of the manor, we moved silently from trees to trees not to show us by the neighbors.
The interior of the mansion took a hell of a blow after all these years, the ceiling was half collapsed, the walls are all crumbled.
We found stuffed toys and dolls scattered around the house, we also found a room full of furniture of the time.
As well as an old piano in the entrance hall, weirdly some keys still work.
In another room was a pool table with a spooky doll on it.
We finally take the stairs to see what's left of the floor, the ceiling having collapsed there were only wood planks and scaffolding.
Despite the marks of time we can still admire the beauty of the architecture of the manor, stone columns, paintings on the walls, beautiful stained glass windows, moldings ceilings. This house was to be so beautiful at the time, it's so bad to see it in this state. Sadly, I think it is too degraded to be renovating now.
We finish our visit quickly, the sun setting, happy to have finally been able to visit the manor. Without being caught by the neighbors.
